We welcome saxophone players of all ages and abilities to join our all-saxophone band
Sax Bandits are an all-saxophone band for adults of all ages and abilities – even beginners. We meet once a month, playing fun arrangements of your favourite rock and pop songs; from Earth Wind & Fire to Madness to the Spice Girls.
The difficulty of the music differs between parts to cater for both rookies and the more advanced wizards. Many of our members had never played in a band before joining us so don’t be shy. Make some noise alongside your fellow saxophonists in a friendly, relaxed, and supportive environment and become a more confident player. You can expect to see an assorted collection of saxophones, people, biscuits, and wrong notes!
Playing by yourself sucks so change your bedroom into a band room and jump on the band wagon!
We take song requests from our members to make sure you play the music you love!
Here are some of the artists we have covered previously:
We offer our band members the opportunity to perform a live gig every year, performing as part of a collective 100+ person band – proof of safety in numbers! Watch some of our recent performances below:
Only a handful of basic music skills are needed to join so learners should not presume they are unworthy. We don’t expect our comrades to have the saxophone skills of a ninja, nor do we leave anyone behind; it’s about making mistakes and making friends who make mistakes.

As well as our monthly band sessions, you also get exclusive access to our online community.
Learn to play your sheet music and saxophone better by making use of our playalong tracks and video tutorials. Whether you want to pick up tips and advice, improve your rhythm and timing, or listen to our set list at home, we have you covered!
“What better way to spend a Sunday morning than playing saxophone, along with a large group of like-minded sax players! Everyone is so supportive, no-one will be judgemental and all abilities are expected simply to have fun!”

“After picking up their flyer about 18 months ago, I finally plucked up courage to go to a session. I wish I had done it immediately instead of waiting. It’s such fun to play in a large band with an enthusiastic band leader and fun tunes.”
SUE
“I had not played my saxophone for about 18 years and didn’t realise how much I missed it until a friend suggested I join Sax Bandits. It’s really fun to play with other people again and I’m very much enjoying the variety of music.”
