Rob Digweed is the brains behind Sax Bandits; acting as director, music arranger and band leader. For 15 years, Rob has taught one to one music lessons to all ages and abilities, taking pride in giving students the confidence and motivation to pursue their own musical goals. In 2016, he founded Sax Bandits with a mission to give bedroom-dwelling saxophonists an outlet to play for fun in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Rob plays saxophone professionally as a session artist for several acts and has played at many prestigious events and venues, such as Glastonbury Festival, IoW Festival, Boomtown Fair, Rewind Festival, o2 Arena VIP Lounge, The SSE Arena, Emirates Stadium, Silverstone, and many more! Rob has performed alongside 80s icon Nick Heyward (of Haircut 100) for several years, performing on the the UK festival circuit and the recent Woodland Echoes tour (which took him to Japan).
Rob performs acoustic covers as a solo saxophonist at luxury weddings and events around the world under the alias Robert Benson. He is a regular at Wimbledon Tennis Tournament and has performed at prestigious venues such as the Tower of London, Hedsor House, The Roman Baths, The Four Seasons, etc.
Rob is a member of Fairvue, who are the resident band of the VIP Lounge at the 02 Arena. They have performed at many prestigious venues such as Selfridges, The Gherkin, Madame Tussauds, Kensington Palace, and many more.
Rob manages his own function band, A RANGERS who perform at private events, parties and weddings all over the country. They are known for their quirky style and creative song arrangements.
